Hi, Would your hack for the Robotis OpenCM9 and Bioloid Premium work with an ArbotiX board? (Trossen Robotics). It is an Arduino based board that works with Dynamixels. I ask because the OpenCM9-C does not support AX12s and I cannot find the OpenCM9 - B for sale. I think that it had both the small XL and AX connectors. I want to learn ARC using what I have, which includes the Bioloid Premium, the MINI, the Pincher and the Reactor Arms from Trossen and a Parallax ActivityBot.
Thanks, Vicki
Hey DJ.
I have decided to not ask you to do the live hack on the Arbotix board, mainly because my "extra board" is not working. I have my Pincher Arm working with EZB4 now and the EZB Tiny is on a robot turret that has a nerf gun on it (The turret does not use dynamixel servos.). And I still have my OpenCM board that I can use.
I am still having challenges with my PS3 working properly to use with either of these but I need to try a few other things before asking more questions. I am trying to get the analog stick control to move the servos in increments and stop, rather than going back to position when the stick control moves back to center. And ARC doesn't recognize the direction buttons on the left at all...
If there is a joystick that you know works more directly please let me know. I am still reviewing the different videos and lessons out on the site to see what others have done.
I see that you have a new video using a Robotis Arm! Heading to watch it now. Thanks!
Vicki
Hi Vicki,
The Logitech Wireless Gamepad (F710) is a controller that DJ commonly uses.
Awesome! Thanks Jeremie! I will pick one up. VK
