The A.R Drone

I was woundering witch model AR Drone you are using with the Software package? I am also wanting to interface a topgun Thrustmaster usb joy stick to control an AR DRone.

They have reconditioned AR Drone model 1.0 for $149.00 each compared to the AR Drone 2.0 for $299.00ea.

The 1.0 is what you currently need for ARC interface. Parrot changed a lot in 2.0 and haven't released an sdk yet, so Dj hasn't been able to add support yet.

Hello, I recently found this site when researching the AR Drone, looking for other methods to operate it besides Iphone or android devices. My question is this, What are the necessary components I would need to get to make the drone function properly?

As far as I can make out from the movement control page of the tutorials section you don't need anything but ARC however ARC does need to connect to an EZ-B (not necessarily attached to the drone) to operate smoothly.

The PC would also require a Wifi NIC. Pretty much all laptops have these now but desktops don't.
