Mowrator Smart Mower

attn: this is not for sale at this time, I’m just sharing snippets of development.

Hello all, starting last December a Chinese company came to me looking for assistance in building a competitive lawn mowing robot. Something different, robust, durable, useful and upgradable. after months of collaboration I got the first prototype to represent the fruits of our efforts. Huge 21 blade with a brushless motor powerful enough to eat bricks. It has a remote, but even the basic model has smart/ autonomous features that make life easier.

this last weekend I took it to makerfair Orlando (a 14 hour drive for me) and Sat and Sunday we had a demo day where anyone could drive/operate the robot and test out the autonomous functions.

This is really cool! Thanks for sharing. It looks very heavy duty and well built. I'd love to see it in action and learn more about what make it tick.

The Chinese partners are working on making come custom pcb for stronger brushless controller and the main board. We have one prototype that had a wire fray from use and zapped some important parts. Once I get the clear we don’t need that frame for something I will probably throw in a Ezb or Raspberry pi and use synthiam for testing quick changes and ideas I have. Then have my counterpart in China ,named David, adapt and compile it into Linux and flash it to the main board right now is running Linux and I have ZERO experience there. David was supposed to physically bring me the custom programmer for the custom electronics and unfortunately forgot it while visiting a beta tester in North Carolina. Here is David and I:)
