Will The New Camera Be Easy To Convert To Ir?

I have a USB night vision camera with IR illumination LEDs, but it is no longer supported by the vendor. It took unnatural acts to get it to work on Windows 7, and I can't get it to work at all on my new Windows 8.1 tablet. I really want my big robot to have night vision, but my budget is just about tapped out, so I don't want to buy another camera, and I can't even find any reasonably priced ones (the one that no longer works cost me $4.99 at Fryes). Also I have 2 EZ-B cameras pre-ordered.

I know the old wireless camera that EZ-Robot sold was fairly easy to get at and remove the IR filter (and that is still an option for me since I still have it), but I was wondering if you considered this in the design of the new one to make it easy (and maybe possible without breaking the filter if I want to convert back).
