Ultrasonic Distance Sensor Hc-sr04?

Hello forum:)

may i have some help please?

I have a question about HC-SRO4 sensor.

The sensor works on 5V DC on digital ports and working current: 15mA. The output voltage on digital port on EZ-B V4 is 7,4V.

The question: It is necessary to use a DC-DC Step down Buck Converter?

Depends where you get it, are you referring to ezrobot’s Ultrasonic Distance Sensor or one from another source?

The one from ezrobot (Ultrasonic Distance Sensor) includes embedded electronics to handle the voltage lowering for you. I can’t speak on ones from other sources because they most likely do not include that circuitry.

Hi Dj and thank you for the response:)

it is not from ezrobot , it is from another source and it is not included voltage lowering circuit.

the values that i get from the sensor it is not "stable"!

You will need to step down the voltage if its not the ezrobot one.. I am using a Buck Converter for 2 additional after market sensors. I bought a hand full of cheap ones of ebay but you get what you pay for... some of them are junk.
