I am sorry to say the Roli and I must part ways. Although I have survived ALS for over 13 years it is kicking my ass and it looks like I will be moving into a skilled nursing facility in the very near future and Roli isn't welcome nor do I think he would like a there. He is fully functional and I can leave him that way or I can have him disassembled and shipped as he was received new. I have used him through 3 battery charges and is practically brand new. I am asking $375 for him shipped to the lower 48 US. If you're elsewhere I will get a shipping cost for you. I hope he finds a loving home. Barry tired
Barry,
I am so sorry to hear this. A dear friend of mine was just diagnosed with ALS but they think she has actually had it for 4 years but the symptoms were masked because she had a brain tumor removed many years ago but has had slurred speech, tremors and weakness as a result.
I signed the petition to the FDA for accelerated release of GM6. I hope it is approved early enough to give you both some relief.
Best of luck to you.
Alan
Ahh man that is really sad to hear... Giving up you independence has to be really tough... I am sure Roli will go to a good home and I am sure the little guy is gonna' miss you...

Barry,
I am so sorry to hear this. You have been an inspiration to me and I have used you as an example to my students in the past. I hope you can find the help you need in your new home. If possible, keep active on the boards. If you can't you will be missed.
That truely sucks stelmobarry. I'll say a prayer for you and your family. Good luck.
I hate to read of your having to give up your robotic hobby. You will be missed immensely. Please try and post us from time to time. Ed
I'm sorry to hear that! Wish roli was able to help. Hope you are still able to attend our forum and hang out I wish you the best of luck dude.
I'm so sorry that you have to give up your Roli. You've been a great asset to this community. It's amazing that you've been kicking ALS's butt for this long! All I can say is good luck and I hope you are able to continue with your hobbies in the way that's best for you, even if you can't have Roli around.
I agree with Chrissi, She is more elegant on expressing my same wishes. Best wishes to you, Steve S
Barry- so sorry too hear this. I hope your Roli finds a home, and I truly wish you the best. Just like everyone else has expressed, we have loved having you on the forum and hope to have you here for as long as possible.
Geesh you guys ... you make a grown man cry! I'm definitely not giving up! I was 37 when I was diagnosed and the odds of me seeing a Revolution robot was 1% ... that's correct I had a 1% chance of ever owning a Roli. So thanks for all of the well wishes and we never know what tomorrow will bring. Roli might end up on ebay but I wanted to give you guys first crack at him. Thanks again! @Nomad $90 US shipping but I would pay half just to save ebay fees.
