So I have been looking into a small windows PC to embed into my next project... Though about a cheap Windows 8 tablet, but now I have the chance to buy a cheap Asus nettop running Win 7 Pro... I just want to know if it will be able to run ARC properly... I Looked, but I didn't find any detailed specs on what min requirements that ARC needs... Here is the nettop's specs (Yes, I plan on upgrading the RAM to 2gb once I get it)...So any thoughts?

There are no official minimum specs.
Basically, if it runs Windows 7 it's good enough to run ARC. It may (and it's a very slim chance) run sluggish depending on a number of things such as video processing, amount of scripts running consecutively, number of ports being monitored and the frequency.
That said, it has been reported that the Acer Aspire One Netbook runs ARC perfectly fine, and that has the same N270 cpu, 1Gb ram etc. so you should be fine with that.
It is only a single core CPU running at 1.6GHz though so don't expect it to be anything near the best performance wise. You may find you need to downgrade Windows 7 to either Starter or remove some of the components and run a stripped down version of Pro.
My HP Pavillion dv9000 runs ARC (with background programs running) with no problems and that is only 2 core 2Ghz with 2GB Ram. I did find it runs much better on Windows 8 with all updates though. Battery life was also hugely improved too (vanilla Windows 7 has a bug which causes reduced battery life).

So, I ended up buying this Asus Nettop for $150 to embed in my next project.... And if it doesn't work out well for my robotic projects, I'll just hook it up to my big screen TV and use it as it was intended... surfing the net from the couch.. :D
I got a few along the same lines around my house which are pretty good work horses for some of Jarvis' features. Mine aren't Asus but the spec is similar. They do an awesome job and I throw a lot at them (one is used for a PVR/TV distribution using mythTV the other is used for auto downloads of TV, Movies, Music using Sickbeard, CouchPotato, Headphones and SABNZBD along side running the MySQL DB which is huge and takes a lot of stick, running my heating and logging temps to the DB every second!). And a couple more which run XBMCbuntu for Full HD media playback.
In short, I have no doubts that it'll manage running ARC.

Would a intel celeron n3050 (laptop) dual core single threaded 1.6ghz base to 2.6ghz all core turbo with 4gb 1600mhz ram Work? its all i got to run with without buying a makerboard and it has directx 12 maybe be able to upgrade to dx12 x
Install windows 10 and it’ll be fine for ARC. The latte panda or up board is less performance than that
Sweet i though that might be the case thanks dj, i are always helpful, o and just seen the exosphere video, lol im kinda late to the party on it but its truly amazing stuff cant wait to up in and try it out, just gotta buy a kit first and an external hdd for my laptop and ill be ready to go then lol.
Oops well it looks like i got the specs wrong its a 1.6 base 2.1 turbo all core is that still gonna be strong enough?
