Hello Ez Robot Community

Hello everyone, while waiting for my EZ robot kit to arrive I though I would just introduce myself.

I bought the kit for my son because he wants to build robots. He took apart almost all of his electronic toys looking for parts thinking he could build a robot just like building with lego so I taught him how to build simple switches and circuits from scratch so he can control what ever he wants to make. Unfortunately kids these days rather play with things than to learn about them.

I looked almost all over to find a good robot kit and then I came to this site. I saw the intro video and saw how everything was set up for even a 6y old to use then I was sold.

A lot of what I see is very similar to how I set up my dj software to use hid/midi devices such as assigning knobs, buttons, leds and lcd feedback so I'm guessing the workflow will be very much the same. Hey maybe I can even control robots with some of my gear lol.

That's all I have to say for now, the community and support here looks very good, keep up the good work guys:)

Wyley D.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys :)

We're doing things old skool way right now by making simple switches and circuits on corrugate sheets and controlling motors. I even bought a helium tank, some foil balloons and blimps to try to make an rc airship but so far it can only carry one motor. I got to find a way bigger balloon.

My son wants us to build fighting robots so we can battle each other lol. So it'll be me and my old skool wired rc robot against him and his wireless rc EZ robot. We'll make a laser tag kind of battle, anyone wanna take bets? ;)

So far we're both learning a lot and I hope he sticks with it.

Welcome to EZ-Robot:) Once you get past the initial " how ti i plug this in?" Stage you will find smooth sailing. Many features seem like they would be hard to utilize but ARC makes your hobby life with robotics much easier. You could always arm them with little air soft guns:). , they are popular in tank battles. When you start your build post it in the projects section and members can help you through your build. Everything from finding parts to how to use them..... Have Fun:)
