EZB4 kit
It did let me see photos of the device kit and read the box, but wish people were not trying to make money on something that they had nothing to do with. I guess supply and demand is still very alive in this world. Nothing can be done about it so I decided not to get worked up and just ignore it.
So, being able to order and get delivery within a week might be worth the $50 extra.
I am sure whoever this is moved on to another platform or hobby while waiting for shipping to start. Deciding not to cancel the order, but to continue to help fund EZ-Robotics startup and then make a little extra once the kit was delivered is actually kind of a stand-up thing to do. He could have just cancelled his order.

Currently I have three orders that I am waiting on and the first has numerous items, but I am having so much fun with EZ robot building my mini six fabricated robot with EZB3. Six is a great robot, I used EZ Robot DJ SIX example to start my fabricated robot.
I am glad it went to teach kids robotics!

There are a lot of people that would have paid more then the extra 50 to get the V4. Personally, if I had been waiting long months or at the end of the long line of people, I would have had no problem paying extra cash (within reason of course, everyone has their price line). It would bother me a little that I had to pay extra but I'd get over that real fast. I really wouldn't care why the guy was selling but I'd be very happy I had one coming. The bottom line is it's my choice to pay the extra cash now or wait for the regular price. I truly understand you're a intelligent and educated person so I don't want to sound preachy or start a political exchange. However sense others here brought up this concept I feel the need to state what I have come to know as the truth; In Capitalism some regulation is very necessary and essential and lets most everyone thrive but too much regulation kills opportunity for everyone in so many ways.
Sounds like you and I see it differently in this area and that's OK. It makes life in the Western world interesting to say the least.
Anyway, we're here to build EZ robots and help each other along. I'm so glad you and your school are going to have the opportunity to experience the V4 a lot faster the so many others.
The initial reaction was of more of a moral thing with me. It's kind of like paying a higher than face value price for scalped tickets to an event. I'm not a fan of that either, but I am sure that many people have no issue with it. It has become a way of life for some even. Helping someone else out who has decided that after a long wait, they don't want to go or can't go to the event is another thing though. I have no issue doing this.
is the end result the same between these two situations, some would say yes. I don't think they are at all. The first will continue to abuse the supply and demand situation and is more like a shark. The second is someone that had something happen and is just looking to recoup their money and let someone else enjoy the event. Me knowing that I am not encouraging the first (scalper) to continue is important to me on a moral level, as much as me trying to help someone out is important to me on a moral level. I don't like scalpers :-)
I am very excited and should have the package soon. The first thing I plan on doing is making that video on setting up my firewall to allow the V4 to be connected to from the internet, and then it will go into my Wall-E project. This will be used by the class until the other robots arrive.
My network configuration is as follows.
All in one cable modem/firewall/router/wifi - firewall and wifi is disabled
A PF Sense firewall
HP 24 port switch
6 port switch
Wifi access point
EZ-B
There are 4 different computers that I can setup different situations on, including a tablet with linux running windows in a virtual machine that is running ARC.
I also have a machine running as a LDAP/Email server but that one wont be a part of this demo.
I have machines running Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 and Ubuntu 14.04. Some are on the domain and some are not.
I will be using my cell phone as an access point to connect the PC's to demonstrate connecting from outside the network. With this setup, I should be able to represent pretty much any situation that someone is going to face at home. My video making ability is going to be the downfall. Oh that and my ugly mug
Hey, I don't like scalpers either but as long as there are people willing to pay that stupid high price they will be almost impossible to get rid of. BTW, I have season tickets to Green Bay Packer football games at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I'm not using my tickets this coming weekend and will be offering two of them located in the end zone to friends or good acquaintances for free. Any of my friends here want them?
WHOOT!
