That battery will work fine and will give you a much longer run time, but it won't fit inside JD or any of the other Revolution robots either....

its not intended to put inside jd.but i need to be able to disconnect the one thats inside jd.and connect outher one.is there a way to do that.

#3

you can use a 3 pole switch or solder a plug on both batteries so you can unplug one and plug in the other....

i was thinking off a tripple swits 0/A OR B A for original batt and B for the exterior batt. so B has to disconnect A

the batt in the link last only 19 minites

#11

@Nomad? 19mins? When using it where? How long it lasts wouldn't that depend on what you are powering and the amount of current that is being drawn? How do you know that anyway, have you tested one?

the seller provided this info.

@Nomad 19mins attached to what? He owns a JD? An LED only last 19mins or a power hungry quadcopter lasts only 19mins? Do you understand that how long a battery lasts depends on what it is powering... The battery DJ posted a link to is double the mAh (2800) of the stock battery that comes with JD.... Quick math will tell you that this battery will last twice as long in JD than that of the stock 1300mah battery that comes with it

you can see the link.i shows helicopters race cars.

#15

Yes, but do those race cars and quad copters use the same amount of power that JD uses?.... I'll try one more time....

JD's battery is 1300mAh = about 30 mins of runtime...

The battery DJ linked to has 2800mAh = 60 mins of runtime in JD

Do you understand now? That battery will give you twice the runtime in JD...

Our battery is 1300 mha - but it's a high quality brand that is popular because of a good reputation.

The battery link I posted I can not vouch for.:)

thats why i wanted to use the same brand but outside.see post #8? for the switsh.

#19

@Nomad... I think DJ was/is trying to point out as well is that he can't be responsible if the battery damages your JD... So maybe it's wiser if you just buy and use another 1300mAh battery from ez robot... No matter which way you go be careful of your wiring....

ah have 3 spear ones.

Most, if not all, of the battery manufacturers (assemblers) will fudge the mAh a little and the C rating a lot. The mAh rating is usually more reliable but the C rating is not to be trusted.

I think the biggest worry you have with LiPo batteries, as far as damaging your equipment goes, is if it bursts into flames from shoddy manufacture.

thats not a good though.scary.

Yeah, Lipos are one of things, that if you just look at them, they burst into flames, usually so fast you dont have time to get out of the way.:(
