From what I've read the EZ-B V4 passes the voltage through to the digital ports, i.e. if you feed in 14.8v you get 14.8v on the VCC of each digital port. So some kind of regulator would be required.

That said, space is the only thing that restricts what you can use, a 4000mAh 2S LiPo (7.4v) should be fine provided it fits in there, or on there. You may need to make some adjustments (unknown until we see detailed pictures of Roli).

Higher mAh just means more gas (or capacity)... Voltage is another story... So as Rich says... as long as you can fit the 7.4V 4000mAh battery in Roli, you'll be fine... If you want to use 14.8, you should find a way to get it down to 7.4v or so for Roli's motors...

I know the mAh increases capacity which is what I'm after. Do you think one 7.4v battery can adequately power both motors?

If you can determine what the current consumption of the motors is then you can determine how long they will be able to run using a 4AH 7.4 battery pack.

DJ: "Revolution Roli uses 2 x LiPo Battery 7.4VDC 1300mAh"

Contentlist of Revolution Roli at the time of my purchase: 2 x LiPo Battery 7.4VDC 1300mAh 2 x LiPo Balance Battery Charger

Now its: 1 x LiPo Battery 7.4VDC 1300mAh 1 x LiPo Balance Battery Charger

Which one is right? If Revolution Roli uses 2 x LiPo Battery I would guess the first one, that also includes a 2nd charger.
