I want to install a mini PC and 7inch touch screen on my InMoov, and can't decide either buying the new Raspberry Pi 4 or the LattePanda PC.
The positives of using the Pi-4, are the power on/off functionality is easier to control rather than the LattePanda with has similar power off function to a laptop or standard PC, meaning I would have to switch this of separately when powering down?? Also the price is a lot cheaper for the Pi 4 4Gb verses the LattePanda 4Gb.
My main question is if I go for the Raspberry Pi, do I use ARC running under Windows or ARC-Pi under Raspbian ( version of Linux )??
Although I'm very familiar using MS windows and I used Linux going back many yrs ago, I'm a complete novice using a Raspberry Pi and Raspbian OS.

Forgot about ARC on the Pi won’t support all of the functions. I suppose it’s going to be the Panda. Another thing is i’ve already purchased the 7 screen ( 1024x600 resolution ) to play around with, and noticed ARC doesn’t support that low resolution, to be able to read iit comfortably??
Yes it does support that resolution and you can't really see any difference from the higher resolution of a full computer you just need to adjust 1 anomaly of the ARC save button to the synthiam cloud. Everything else works perfectly. I even use that display to watch Kodi movies when outside relaxing and it's on the robot chest ,it looks great!
Thanks Robo Rad, It did come up with a notice box stating the lowest resolution supported was something like 1024x800 when loading ARC with this screen, BUT it did load OK, the issue was I had to use the side scroll bars ( Hoz & Vert ) to navigate around my Project which is very large.

Can you explain your comment above in more detail, not sure what you mean exactly?
To be honest I wasn't entirely happy with this touch screen display, from some reason I can't get it to work on a Vensmile W10 mini PC running windows 10, although I can get it to work on my laptop and main PC running the same version of Window 10, using the same cables etc. Thinking of sending it back as I have only had it a couple of days.
See my terminator thread here in the forum, you can see the 7" display running ARC I have the HDMI touch version but it is about the same as the regular one from DF robot,just not using the delicate connector ribbon,was too short for my robot,The HDMI 7" can have a long cable so you can always pull it off the robot and use as a touch tablet, I do Facebook upload video watch movies.it's awesome!:) The save button to synthium cloud goes to this one new window that won't let you scroll all the way to the bottom where the save button is. I just then use my regular computer for those cloud saves.Since I need the scripts to go to my Mobile cell phone as well. Also the amp current for the Panda runs best over 2 Amps ,so 2.4 -3 amps is best with display,and any USB attachments to work correctly.
I just got my panda up and running today. I ordered the 10 inch screen but realized it was not a touch screen. So sending it back to get the 7 inch model. Glad to see here that it runs ok with a slightly lower resolution.
Edit: I did find another 10 inch touch screen and it’s hdmi. Mixed reviews on amazon. I’ll let you know by Thursday.
Hi fxrtst In the past I set up my Madame Nindo fortune teller to auto shut down using a single pushbutton. I had the restart, boot also from another single button. I used win 7 at the time. I assume win 10 should also work. I can try to find the code if you want it.
