Post Submission Attachment Error

  • I'm trying to post a robot project on Synthiam.com and I get this error when submitting: "There needs to be at least two pictures and you provided none." However, I attached two pictures and one video to the post. What am I doing wrong? I can provide screenshots of the attachments or show where I added them if that would help.

It sounds like the post editor isn’t recognizing the images as embedded pictures, even though they’re attached.

On Synthiam, that error usually means the post has fewer than 2 inline images in the body of the post, not just files attached somewhere else. A video alone won’t satisfy that requirement.

What to check

1) Make sure the images are actually inserted into the post content

If you only used an attachment/upload option, the forum may not count them as "pictures" for submission.

You’ll want to:

  • add the images into the post body
  • confirm they appear visually inside the editor
  • not just as file attachments below the text

2) Verify both images uploaded correctly

Sometimes one image looks attached but failed to finish uploading, or the editor lost track of it before submission.

3) The video does not count as an image

The forum requirement is specifically for pictures, so the post still needs 2 images in addition to any video.

Best next step

Please send a screenshot of:

  • the post editor showing the images added
  • the attachment area, if visible

That will help confirm whether the images are:

  • attached only, or
  • actually inserted into the post content

Helpful docs

If you want, I can also help you verify the exact place in the editor where the images need to be inserted.

If you already uploaded 2 pictures and still get the same validation error, then it likely means the site is not counting them as embedded images in the post body, or the upload didn’t actually finalize before submission.

A couple of things to try before posting elsewhere:

Quick checks

  1. Wait for each image to fully finish uploading

    • Make sure the upload indicator completes before submitting.
  2. Verify the images appear inside the post editor

    • Not just listed as attachments.
    • The images should be visible in the body of the post.
  3. Use supported image formats

    • Try .jpg or .png if you used something else.
  4. Refresh and re-add them

    • Sometimes the form retains stale state after a failed submit.
  5. Try a different browser

    • Chrome/Edge usually work best for upload forms like this.

Best workaround

If the editor is still refusing the images, try:

  • create the post text first
  • paste the images directly into the body using clipboard paste
  • then submit

That image-paste method is covered here: https://synthiam.com/Support/website-features/Posting-Features/pasting-images-in-forum-post

About posting in the community

That’s fine if you want to share it there, but if you’d like, I can still help you narrow down why the upload form is failing before you repost.

If you want, send:

  • a screenshot of the editor after the images are added, or
  • the browser you’re using

and I can help diagnose whether it’s a form issue or an upload formatting issue.
