Change Release Notes

  • Script engine now understands :Labels. You can GOTO() labels
  • Script engine now has IF conditions.
  • Fix with Script/Console Intellisense when specifying a board index. The popup intellisense didn't pop up if you specified a board number ( i.e. 2.Servo(d5, 2) )
  • Print Script manual option under Help menu tab

To understand IF conditions, please consult the Script Manual. When an IF condition is true, it will execute the next line of code. If it is false, it will skip the next line of code.

For Example:

If (Servo D0 > 5)
 Goto(Skip)

# Turn on LED
Set(d5, On)

# Move servo to position 5
Servo(D0, 10)

:Skip
# Turn off LED
Set(d5, Off)

# Move servo to position 2
Servo(d0, 2)

Holy Moly, sweet! Goto labels and If conditions, now ARC pretty much it's own, fully featured, easy coding language and environment. Do you have a name for this new language you're developing? It seems very close to C++ programing, you can call it DJ-C, EZ-C, EZ-CODE, SURE-CODE, or maybe C-SHURP :D That last one make me think of Sherpas, so you could call it See-Sherpa!!!.....maybe not.

You should have a naming contest!

This is way to awesome. DJ, you da man!!

DJ, I just printed our new manual and I do not see "IF" listed. Also, isn't there a script "ReleaseALL". One other item, the personality generator seems to run over and over speraticly. In the manual it says under Personality Generator. RunOnce. Is that a usable command?

Hahahhaa Thanks guys. I never put a thought towards the name... Hmm mayabe I should. Any other suggestions? Other than Sherpa:D

Bookmaker, you'd need to PAUSE the personality generator. And it is supposed to run speratically, that's the point to the A.I. influenced algorythm:) There's an interesting trending going on in the background.

The script command RunOnce runs a control ONCE. If it is paused, then it won't run at all unless a script tells it to run ONCE.

The ReleaseAll() command is there. I must have forgot to put that in the manual. It will be in the manual for the next release.

The IF conditions ARE in the manual, keep looking:)
