Does anyone know if the SDK of the Oculus Rift package would work with EZB if there was a plug in developed for it? It doesn't really need to be something as big and bulky as that. Very unfortunate that Vuzix is no longer offering support with EZB. That would work great.
Like the Vuzix, I'd like to pull from the IMU data to move servos and transfer the camera feed from the EZ camera to the goggles over two complete separate computers in different places.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to POC this, would be grateful.
Ahh perfect I missed adding an game object as root! Cool. I’ll try messing with the displacement objectives!
Hey guys, anything new here? I am having no time at my hands at the moment, my day time job is really not leaving spare time for robotics...but I hope it will change soon, and I can continue helping to build this addon for EZ-Robot!
I’ve been busy pretty printing up parts for my sons hexapod, trouble shooting printers, and dealing with some family issues. It’s going to be slow going for me as well. I'm pretty sure all of June will be busy too.
Once I finish this hex I’m going to rig it in Lightwave and animate it there. It’s an environment I’m used to and I will be able to create looping animations to test with easily. I will then export as fbx and import to unity. Hopefully you guys can walk me thru setting up the EZB with Unity. This hex uses every digital port on the EZB!
Anyways hopefully we can continue moving forward. I’d like to see a capture record/playback for exporting from unity and importing to ARC !
Below is the box of parts... only about 50% done
Man that print looks awesome, where did you get the model from... Did you design it yourself?
I guess rigging and animating it in Lightwave is the way to go, all my research showed me this is the way of best practice! I might also have to get some personal things sorted out before I can get back to robotics, but its itching...so let's see!
Yeah I created the Hex in Zbrush for my son. Here are a couple pics of concept and then the final model. So many parts...what was I thinking?! It so huge not sure if it will walk but I'm going to give it a try!
OMG, how did you manage to pull this off so quickly? Great model! I cannot wait to see it in action!
Just about 2 weeks designing, and another week til all the parts are completed printing. Then I will assemble and test the legs and add weight to it to see if it will stand up!
It looks amazing! Which type of servos will you be using...will the body and it's arms also be moving?
Great job!
Is there an enclosure for the EZ-B in the back of its body?
