Vinyl Dying White Clip'N'Play Parts?

Hi,

Unfortunately - white doesn't do it for me - I'd like to vinyl dye the clip'n'play plastic to black - has anyone tried this before, is the plastic suitable for this?

Thanks

JB

I felt the same way...white is too generic. It's a good base to be painted though...ever thought of just painting the plastic? They have specialty paints for this...that or print your own parts and use different colors...

Much easier to paint white than black:)

I've not done it yet but when I do get around to giving JD and Six some colour I'll be using Posca or Molotow paint pens. They are acrylic based paint pens and work really well on most surfaces (they even cover black quite well).

If you want to use rattle cans I can't recommend Canbrush paints enough.

Thanks all for the tips - I remember Posca pens when they came out Rich, at my school everyone was an instant graffiti artist overnight:)

I'm putting the EZ-robot controller + camera onto a black Lynxmotion Johnny 5, hence the desire to try dying the plastic. My local auto store has some matte black cans in stock I might try.
