I have ARC Pro installed on two different machines. However, after rebooting or closing the software, it won't reopen unless I release the license. Why does the second installation require me to release the machine and then reactivate the license every time I close the software?

Visit your account settings to the subscription portal. Remove one of your seats. You have two seats therefore two computers
if in doubt, remove both seats from the portal and next time you start arc, you can use those two seats. You’ll see that happen with the computer name.
computer names must differ for obvious reasons
I have tried releasing both computers and when I close the software and then reopen it, it indicates that I have used both my seats and wants me to manage my subscription. The newer MacBook pro (with M3Pro chip) running ARC with Parallels and Windows 11 is working fine. My older Intel MacBook Pro running Windows 10 is the one requiring me to release the license every time and reactivate. They both have plenty of resources to accommodate. Any other suggestions?
It sounds like there might be an issue with how the ARC Pro software is recognizing the older Intel MacBook Pro. Here are a few suggestions to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check for Updates: Ensure that both your Windows 10 and ARC Pro software are up to date. Sometimes, updates can resolve compatibility issues.
Reinstall ARC Pro: Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the ARC Pro software on the older Intel MacBook Pro. This can sometimes resolve issues related to software recognition.
Check Network Settings: Ensure that your network settings are stable and that there are no firewall or security settings blocking ARC Pro from verifying the license.
Parallels Configuration: Since you're using Parallels, ensure that the configuration settings are consistent between both machines. Sometimes, differences in virtual machine settings can cause recognition issues.
Contact Synthiam Support: If the issue persists, it might be beneficial to reach out to Synthiam support directly for more specific troubleshooting related to licensing issues. They might have more insights into why the software is not recognizing the license properly on the older machine.
License Management: Double-check the license management portal to ensure that the seats are being released correctly. Sometimes, there might be a delay or an issue with the release process.
If you continue to experience issues, please let me know, and we can explore further troubleshooting steps.

Ah that would be why maybe. The seat is identified by the cpu signature and a few other parameters. When running in a virtual machine, those values probably change.
The difference between the two versions of the virtualization sofrware. There must either be a bug with the Intel virtualization software or it’s documented as a feature lol
Hmmmso the Intel machine is not a virtual environment. It is booting up as Windows ( mot using Parallels). The free version of ARC worked ok although it has been a while since I used it. (You helped me back in 2020.). HiBTW. LOL
I did notice that the ARC welcome screen on the Windows machine (Intel) has my old email address. The other machine with the VM environment( M3Pro) has my correct one, which I updated today. Maybe the uninstall of the free version is not clean and old info is creating a conflict?
it works if I dont close the software or shut down the machineit just doesn’t stay.
