Hey Nomad, I saw the arm on eBay and I tought its to big and no good quality but I was wrong. Very cool Mix and nice work, hehe :-) the arm comes in small pieces. is it difficult to build the arm ? How good is the quality of servos and pieces? regards Marty

hi smarty the arm is fully assembled,do need some adjustments fine tunning. arm+hand and here full robot full robot

i forgot to tell.servo's are 7.4 volt.and have two connections per servo. each side has a connection. if they are strong,i dont know that .

as far i can see yes they do.aldo am going to by the full robot. the arm is heavy for jd.

also availeble is the 5 dof hand.very usefull for excample the mecanoid robot.

tomy the rgb dont work on robi cause he dont have a rgb connector like the ezbv4. i just notest i dont have the wire for the mouth led.just ordered one. i use same colors as ptp explaned few weeks ago.also the angle robi head, is diff then the jd head is flat.

@Nomad, thank you for the video. Hmm Robi is going to be a challenge with programming thats for sure...getting rgb's to sync is a nightmare for me.

tomy am using original eye boards from robi. the rgb from ez is much easier to use.but you have to have diff eye glass, and 3d print part to get all the light inside eye case.

Ah wow ok, so does anyone print those parts? Just remembered Smarty's robot, the one with the Robi head, i wonder how he managed to sync those rgb's?

yes me too.maybe he can chim in,smarty we need you,please. robi's eyes are not rgb,they are tri color leds.

Oh Tri-color, yes i think they have 4-5 colors all up, not exactly sure. @Smarty, could you please tell us how to make Robi's eyes work?

i dont think smarty robot has original robi eyes.

I think that one has upgraded eyes, but if you watch his first video he has the eyes and mouth in sync perfectly.

Yes, even the mouth led is in perfect sync with the voice. Great video ive watched it many times even though i can't understand German.

That would be great. I noticed there is only a 4hr time difference between Belgium and Australia, so we should skype sometime soon? Im just waiting on servo extension cables and then im going to power up my humanoid for the first time, we should get our robots to have a Skype chat together some time?

Yeah EZB4 in his bacpac, 4-1 orientation sensor in his belt, Ultra Sonic Distance and Sound Sensor in his chest. Will control him with my phone first.

Calibration was all done before assembly, using a 2200mah lipo. Need to also find a 6v regulator for the neck servo, that's the only servo i haven't calibrated yet.

Its a 6v servo, the lipo is 7.4v of course.  Better pic, last one was horrible.

I wouldn't know, its only for his neck so i don't think it would get hot...but i haven't powered it on yet for i don't have the right regulator for it. Being a neck servo, i wonder if i could get away with putting 7.4v through it..its only rated for 6v and its very cheap so im sure it would go pop just by being plugged in?

did you try to use 5 volt regulator from shop here? i think that it will work.for your 6 volt servo's i have to talk to you later.have to make myself reddy for chemo, in a few houres. seeya

tomy here the solution for the robi eyes.read this topic.they work on 3 rgb , connectors and have thousand colors.you can use 3 rgb windows. the adresses for each rgb connector are in the topic. topic robi eyes neon pixel bit

its the same technic like a light-organ-effect. put a light between the speaker and sound-cable.. thats it. but be carefull.. use a resistor.. so the LED is never to hot. the eyes are selfmade :-) I cannot talk about all my tricks, because I'm selling the robots and that's a hard job :-).

@Smarty, ah i like the way you explained that, many thanks. In regards to a resistor, doesn't the EZB4 have built in 3.3v resistors? Smarty, your Kondo robot with the Robi head, his RGB eyes are really good, you have the colors working perfectly, thats what i would like to do with the small Robi i have here. I 100% agree with you there, if your selling robots then i wouldn't give out any tricks of the trade either...sounds like a dream job.
