I also found that dry erase board cleaner removed stickers without leaving any residue.

I would just like to point out that there are no connectors in the rad. Every connection is soldered so I had to cut all the wires to get each section apart. I am possibly thinking of cutting out the cup holder to make room for a battery but we will see later. Here is rad taken apart minus the arms...

The rad 1.0 looks more feminine than rad 2.0 I have on the way. Since this is a girls mech warrior robot ofcourse it gets a different flavor of paint job....

I do not believe I will leave it solid pink. I was thinking of pink as the base and then camouflage over it. Ive seen this before. Whats everyone s opinion?

That color should show up nicely with EZ-B color tracking... "Automatic targeting enabled, target aquired... FIRE" :D

Im frustrated at the moment on this rad robot. First coat of paint was fine however today the paint is wrinkled in various spots. This usually happens if the surface is not clean but thats not the case for sure. Camouflage type paint job is the only option at this point. I will try to cut a stencil while this second coat dries.

From what I see in the photo, the grey actually helps with the real purpose of camo (pattern breaking)... but for your purpose I would think Pink, White and Red would be nice for aesthetics.

I will let this dry overnight and get back to it tommorow when it is warm agian and I can see better.

Due to certain areas not sticking and flacking off I must wait till this fully dries sand it wash it and then use etching primer before painting agian.

Thats a shame it flaked and wrinkled. Im sure the sanding and primer will work the next time. I have the same problem with photos going sideways. I just have to upload them to my laptop first, rotate then post. :/

I have another rad robot body primed and getting an pink paint job. The previous on you see here had some serious finish problems. This is a robot for my little sister as a toy she is 10 yrs old.

Some say it was silicon contaminants on the other body. The primer has not wrinkled at all so thats a great sign. There is a large gauge on top of the head I will cover up with filler. I did salvage three good darts for the original chest cannon to use on her robot. Updates will come for this project soon as it gets that spot on the head filled :)

Ok the robot was primed and now painted watermelon pink. Once this has dried a day or two I will add some accents. Green is what my little sister wants so this robot will have a watermelon theme. It will get a EZ Robot fabric paint stencil in green , Aponi (her name) and I will use the fabric paint to add water melon seed accents speckled all over. I may even make a leafy vine going up each side in green too. As you can tell Im making these as Christmas gifts for us all the play with. She said she didnt want guns but I know better. I have two guns ready for when she says she wants to play mech wars with the boys :)

Ironically I already picked up 6000 bright green bbs to go with the watermelon theme. So I guess she would be shooting seeds lol.

These are the motors I bought. Im crossing my fingers they are similar to omnibot motors so maybe I can upgrade the rad 2.0 motors.

I bought a couple spare rad 2.0 robots to cut up their base so I could have 4 motors and 4 gearboxs . If thats too difficult I could do the mod I did with the omnibot 2000 gearbox and have two motors mounted agianst one input gear. I would rather have true 4wd powering the tracks though. Im also thinking about modifying the position of the idler wheels so that in the event of track derailment the robot could still move on flat surfaces by the 4 drive wheels.

It's pretty hard to derail those RAD tracks. I think you can leave the idler wheels as they are. However, I do like modding the two bases together like you show. A little fiberlass should fix that up pretty well.

Ok the motors came in. Here is a side by side picture. These motors must be 10 times stronger wow. They feel like they have tons of torque and lower rpm range. Just what you want for tank base ;).
