I have purchased 5 of these for different things. So far I haven't had an issue with them. They are all running on Linux devices which are more picky than windows. It should work fine for you.
They look quite neat and unobtrusive. I might get a couple of them myself. Nice find nomad.

One thing to note on these. They will go to sleep if there is no activity. This is the default setting of the wifi adapter. I know how to disable this on linux but I don't have one on windows to be able to figure it out. It might just be a setting in your wifi configuration. Also, Windows may not show this same behavior.
