We received our JD robot. assembled it.
I started calibration. all parts worked including the neck horizontal servo, but not the vertical. This servo never showed any movement at the time of cable connection as well.
Contacted robot shop, where I purchased the robot. Told to contact manufacturer directly. seems no direct responses! other than posting here.
To me that is faulty part and I couldn't figure our why it should be reported here.
confused
Do you have the servo plugged in correctly? Black to black, white to white etc?
Hi! The neck servos are different than the larger servos, in which they do not "jolt" when power is applied or connected. You will notice the grippers and neck servos all do not show any "movement at the time of cable connection" as well - this is by design.
Verify the orientation of the plug is connected correctly (black to black, white to white)
Verify the servo is connected to the correct port. The learn section has a tutorial for your JD robot
If both of these suggestions fail, use the Contact Us and provide reference to this URL.
Lastly... Can you verify the confirm "Calibration" vs "Fine Tune Profile". Which one are you performing? Calibration uses a screw driver and is rarely required, meanwhile Fine Tune is performed in software.
In response to the question regarding posting on the forum for first level support assistance, this was displayed in the Contact Us which directed you here. I'll paste it again for your convenience:
That is all done not working.
I rephrase that is "fine tuning" which I did. Connections, port as per instruction are all correct.
This is not a technical assistance request. This is part's failiur and my time snd other people's time should be respected ehich appstently is not.
...and I have read your technical assistance policy- no need dor repetition.
Awesome, awesome. Now you can provide a link to this thread in the contact us
