Other than changing the servo values to suit the direction of travel, have you tried unclipping the servos and turning them around 180 degrees, then reattaching them so they move in the right direction? Or swap the servos that move in the wrong direction with each other. It does sound like you got the assembly slightly wrong. Go over the tutorials again and see if you can pinpoint where you went wrong.;)

Sounds like your seevos are installed backward:) that's an easy fix.

First, ensure that you are following the necessary tutorials to get JD up and running. A great deal of work was invested into the tutorials to make the setup process smooth. Here's a link: https://synthiam.com/Tutorials/Course/1

Second, the exact tutorial that is relevant to your issue is this link: https://synthiam.com/Tutorials/Lesson/61?courseId=1

There's a little blurb at the top with an image showing to pay attention to the orientation of the servos.:) if they are installed backward, your robot will do some funny stuff! Can you imagine if you woke up and found your joints were reversed? Haha that would be a funny day!

Rebuild your JD, create a servo fine tune profile, and enjoy your JD:) he's pretty awesome

Thank you so much!

I am not really smart with this stuff but I would like too because I want to be a robotic engineer when I grow up.

Thank you Andrew Gehring :D:)

Andrew, with that attitude, i'm certain your dream will be possible:)

Follow the directions in the tutorials on the learn section of this website. Once you have gotten JD to operate correctly, the rest will be preparation for your future career in robotics:D

I'm glad that we're helping to make it possible!
