Willl the EZ board work with the 3 and 6 turn winch servos instead of multi-turn with gears, that way i'll still have step control instead of timing to stop.
thanks alot for your help on the servo stop question, the ReleaseAll() works until the update.
Thanks Mike
The update was released earlier today. When you load ARC, it will check and notify you of new updates
I am not familiar with 3 and 6 turn winch servos. Do you have a link to the item you're looking at? I 'm certain it will work if it is a servo. All servos will work with the EZ-B
here is the link to one of the servos http://www.robotshop.com/hitec-hs785hb-servo-motor.html
Yes mike they do. They react like a regular servo they just turn more degrees in each direction based on the input signals. They are meant as a winch so they are much less accurate and positions it will stop at are farther apart.. What are you trying to use it for? Maybe there is a better solution I can give you. -Josh S
I was thinking about using them to take the place of my modified motors using gears which the modified motors have no positioning. I thought I could use a 6T servo with 12-1 gearing and be back to 180 deg with some kind of positioning. Probably would be cheaper just to build ann encoder for the last gear in the gear train.
