Mobile App For Galaxy Tab 10.2

I created my first mobile app in builder. When I run the mobile app I find my file on the cloud ok and it appears to load but I just get a quick date flash at the bottom of my screen and it reverts to where I started. I tried several mobils from the public cloud and got the same result - nothing. I am running android 4,2,2 on a galaxy tab 2 10.1. Does this work only on a phone?

check the log and see what the loading error message is. The Android App works on all Android devices.

I just built my own mobile app, uploaded to cloud, and ran on my Samsung galaxy tab 3. This app is awesome. I was absolutely amazed at what this system can do. I cant wait for the rest of my part to arrive (camera) so I can do telepresence, and open up my router ports to be able to see from other networks. This is not meant as a post hijack, just plain excitement. It does work!

the log only has:

6/15/2014 5:48am - ARC Mobile v2014.05.24.00

at the top, I'm guessing the initial entry... after three tries at download then failed

Can you make your project as public and tell me the name? I will take a look :)

I could except I find I can't reload the project ("first App") on my PC, but I get a log that I uploaded as 1EZBlog.txt... Maybe you can see what is going on:

I made a new mobile app, "First App - Rick" and posted it public. This one I can re-open in the PC but the tablet still seems to load it but doesn't and writes nothing in the log...

I could have really used the EZ-Robot stuff but if I can't get the mobile app to work then I'll seek an alternative. To Summarize: Installed both the mobile app on the Galaxy 10.1 and on my pc. The mobile seems to work ok, downloads show up in the local folder and the data reading shows that they are there. However, none of them will run in the mobile app. I'm logging off for the last time, if you discover the problem you have my e-mail... Thanks...

I think your doing it wrong?.... You can't run a native windows ARC project on an Android... You must create a specific mobile app for Android from within ARC (on Windows PC). In ARC select project/add/mobile.... Build the mobile app then uploard it to the cloud then download the app to your android....

A little short sighted but if someone feels they want to explore other avenues that's cool.

Immediately after opening the only cloud file for Rick it's pretty obvious why nothing works and that is due to there being no controls other than the camera.

The original project which wouldn't open on the tablet/phone and also wouldn't open on PC is probably to do with the project file. If it doesn't open on the PC there's something wrong with it. Sharing this with us would have been of huge benefit. While ARC may not open it that doesn't mean that DJ couldn't look at it (or myself for that matter since I have a good understanding of how a project file is made up).

When you decide that the other avenues don't lead anywhere near as good as the EZ-B avenue feel free to post the project to the forum, either DJ, myself or someone else who knows their way around a project file can look at it and advise you.

Just an FYI - your public app loads fine on a Samsung S5, as previously mentioned though there are no usable controls so nothing will happen when opened, what were you expecting to happen?

What I was expecting to happen was for it to open, just like the tutorial showed. Pleas read the entire thread with a summary of what did and didn't happen before replying...

Do you have another android or a friend with one? Try it on another android device.... If it works or doesn't work at least you'll have your answer... I have a Galaxy Tab 3 8" and my girlfriend has a Galaxy S4... I have had no issues with the EZ Robot android app on either device...

Hope you find what you need

I tend to pay less attention when there is an air of attitude and lack of patience. I shall refrain from replying if that is what you would prefer. I apologise if my help offended you in any way...

You do not need to make a special "mobile" version of your ARC project. The Mobile interface builder is if you want a custom interface. The ARC project from PC will still work on Android if there is no Mobile Interface Builder. The only difference is, you will see the desktop. I would recommend watching the Mobile Tutorial from the LEARN section.

Here is a link to the tutorial: Mobile Interface Builder

Here is the video for your convenience:

As for your project. I have asked if you could share your project for me and I will take a look at what is causing the issue. Outside of sharing your project, i'm unable to assist. I need to see the project in order to experience the issue :)

Never mind...

@Rick.... Why even bother coming back to say that... "Never mind"? Sounds like you just wanted to get one last dig in... We tried to help, even though you tried your best to be difficult about it.... Take a look at all the posts here... Many people tried to help you and all you could do is shoot back attitude.... This works for 99.9% of everyone else so have you considered the problem is on your end?... Since you can't get it to work, maybe this is just not for you?.... Have you considered Arduino?
