Lessons

Hello all! First let me say I find this to be a great product and it's apparent EZ has worked hard to make this as easy as possible. Thanks for your great work and all who contribute!

That being said it's also apparent I am just not smart enough to finish the setup process with the lessons/tutorials that are available. I have built a JD with hips and the EZ-Bv4 is connected and working great. All 16 servo's work fine. I created a servo profile in the design process and saved my project. I've watched as many lessons as I was able to find on the steps to set the servo off sets and save the profile. But I'm missing something.

Under the "project tab", then to the far right is the servo tabs. "Load-configure-advanced", I am unable to find and understand each relation in the lessons. When I click on the "load tab" I see that I can load my project, but I've assumed it was already running when I open it in "file / open tabs".

When I click on configure, I receive the warning message "There is no Auto Position to use the basic fine tune interface. Use the advanced interface until an auto-position has been created". "Auto-position I'm confused about"

I used the Advance tab to adjust and set the servo off sets and saved my work, but I am still unable to use the "configure" tab. "Same message" I'm certain I'm missing steps but I have no idea where to find the lessons on them. Could you please help me with where to find the lessons/tutorials and give me some insight on the chronological order of the setup process?

Thank you very much in advance.

Rod

I want to apologize for asking the silly question above. I Looked deeper in the forums and found the same question with plenty of answers pointing me in the right direction. Please ignore my question above and hold my next silly question in reserve. lol Thanks for all the potential answers. Rod

Hi:D Don't worry, the JD with hips project is quite advanced

The JD with Hips project may be better suited with some previous experience with JD. It might be useful to start with a JD before adding the hips. Also, the JD with Hips isn't a supported project, nor is it very functional.

If you start with a JD, there's a course designed for him which you can find in the LEARN section. Click LEARN at the top of this website. Or, click the JD Course when ez-builer loads. Or click the Getting Started from the JD Humanoid product page.

You will spend most of your time in the learn section. There's lots of videos, including videos that explain what you're inquiring about.

Use a vanilla JD Humanoid build first, then move on to the JD with Hips. JD is still a lot of fun without hips. He just doesn't have the capabilities of a swavy walk without those hips :D

Sounds Great! Thanks for the advice! I tend to be a bit over ambitious with out the knowledge to back it up. I will back up and start with JD and figure out if Hips are even something I want to use. Thanks again and love want you have done.
