Saw this today on Hack-a-day. Nothing new to me, but it ties directly to a conversation I was having recently with @RR333 about using a DC motor and why I thought a servo better fit his needs.

I think the articles complement each other well. Yours is more comprehensive, theirs is an easier to digest quick overview. I found some of the comments more interesting than the article though.

I didn't see anything in the servo tutorial about if you could control the speed of a servo on a EZ Robot robot. Are they set to operate at a set speed in the programming or can you speed up or slow down the servos?
You can control the speed in scripts and in most objects that use servos.
