Does EZ-B Make A Loud Alarm Sound?

I was checking out hooking my bluetooth up to my laptop, I left the room and the ez robot was still plugged in but not connected to bluetooth, all of a sudden , this loud alarm went off and at first I didn't know what it was, but I will tell you, It was ear piecring and I was in the next room, is that a low battery voltage alarm? Because when I checked my battery voltage, it was low about 2 and ahalf volts, I was so involved with setting up and playing with it, I lost track.

There is no low voltage alarm on the EZ-B. It doesn't sound like it was anything to do with the EZ-B. It may be an alarm built in to your battery, depending on battery etc.

That's weird, cause I swear as soon as I unplugged it, it stopped, and the battery was a TYCO 6.0V NiCd.Are you absolutely positive it didnt come from the board, maybe it was my laptop, but there would of been no reason for that to alarm, man oh man, what a mystery. anyway thanks for the quick response.

Spooky! eek

EZB has no sound capable of coming straight from the board. I have heard batteries squeak but nothing ear piercing or real loud. I have had my laptop's sound card pop off unexpectedly when a system event happened. Look at your sound settings in Windows control center and see if you have any events associated with sound files. I just set my system events to None. That way only thing that plays are sound files you want to play from ARC or other music players like WinAmp.

What was ezb hooked up to? Many rc parts like battery meters , bec, and ESC (electronic speed controllers) can make tones and noises either through a speaker or through the wire in the motor they are attached to.

I tell ya. it was loud and I still for the life of me figure out which device it came from, it might of been my laptop, but it was plugged in, I was in the process of trying to get my laptop bluetooth with a dongle pair with ezb that's in my bedroom and I had gone into the living room, but when I went back into the bedroom, It was so loud I just wanted it off, the first thing I did was unplug the ezb board, it stopped but not in that split second, so maybe it was the laptop, thinking back it must of been , cause anything that loud couldn't of come from a small board like ezb, it had to of been powered by 110ac,lol.

Yes it probably was your laptop , well happy building!

I have had my computer freeze just as an error occurs, in such a way that the annoying gong sound that Windows makes, gets caught in a loop almost like a CD skipping playing the same note continuously.
