Displaying Script Names On The ARC Workspace

I am currently using ARC Pro and need assistance with identifying the Vertical servo scripts on my ARC Workspace. I have multiple Vertical servo scripts displayed, but I'm having trouble distinguishing between them. How can I display the name of each Vertical servo script directly on the ARC Workspace to easily identify which script is which?

To display the names of your Vertical servo scripts directly on the ARC Workspace, you can follow these steps to label each script control:

  1. Open ARC and Load Your Project:

    • Start by opening ARC and loading the project that contains your Vertical servo scripts.
  2. Access the Configuration Menu:

    • Locate the Vertical servo script controls on your workspace.
    • Each control has a gear icon () that you can click to access the configuration menu.
  3. Set the Name for Each Script:

    • In the configuration menu, you will find a field labeled "Name" or similar.
    • Enter a unique and descriptive name for each Vertical servo script. This name will help you identify the script's purpose or function.
  4. Save the Configuration:

    • After naming the script, make sure to save the changes by clicking the "Save" or "OK" button in the configuration menu.
  5. Repeat for Other Scripts:

    • Repeat the above steps for each Vertical servo script control you have on your workspace.
  6. View the Names on the Workspace:

    • Once you have named all the scripts, the names should be displayed on the ARC Workspace, making it easier to distinguish between them.

By following these steps, you can effectively label each Vertical servo script control, allowing for easy identification and management within your ARC project. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask!

Thanks so much for quick response and help.  I have been putting a script name in the script configuration field, but it wasn't being displayed in the workspace.  I have two computers registered for the ARC pro version, but have only been using one of them.  So today I copied the project to the other computer and the script name was displayed.  So I went back to the first computer and went through the project settings fields and one of them had to do with the text, so I clicked on "restore settings" and went back to the project workspace and the names were displayed.  So, I guess somehow there is an option for this that got turned off or maybe the text color got set to black and so it didn't show up in the black background ?

I'm glad you worked through this. It's hard to say what happened in your case. However your project is not automatically shared and mirrored across your two computers. Each computer has a separate project file of your ARC project as it stood the last time you saved it on that certain computer.

If you want both projects to reflect the last state of your work you need to manually save it to the second computer. Easiest way to do that is to save it to the EZ Cloud from ARC on your work computer and then open it in ARC from the Cloud on your second computer, then save it on that computer. Another way to do it is you could always save your latest working version of your project to the EZ Cloud no matter what computer you are working on. Save it to both that computer and upload it to the EZ Cloud before shutdown. Then always open it from the EZ Cloud into ARC on each of your computers.

Also, yes, ARC does have that neat feature to be able to set the theme and colors you see in the work space. Black text on black background is hard to see. LOL.:p
