Yes...

A few ways to do it, here are two... one which is quick but may not be up to the standard you want and another that's very very hands on...

  1. Sound servo control. This will move a servo, or dim a lamp depending on the volume of the sound. I had used it on Melvin's mouth prior to the Larson Scanner.

  2. Auto Position control. Set up your frames and manually sync them to the music. This method would probably take a lot of time to get right but the results would be amazing.

Thanks Rich for ALL your many contributions to the forum! As my robot is a "chatbot" using mp3, RSS,text etc I am very interested in "syncing" mouth to voice. Your "sound servo control" idea sounds great but what happens when it hears myself talking, it will then start to move its jaw..not so good. But I did like one of your earlier threads where you suggested adding a script timer to all and any variety of robot voices. Of course that would mean a lot of extra time scripting but I think ...as you say well worth it.

You get out what you put in at the end of the day.

I haven't used the sound servo for a while, there may be a way to pause it? I thought it worked on the sounds coming out of the main audio device of the PC, which if the mic isn't set to come out of the speakers (i.e. it's muted) it shouldn't affect the sound servo... I may be wrong on that though.
