hi I is a newbie, got my EZ-B yesterday (well happy) prob is connect as shown but i only get one port to open on bluetooth file what am I doing wrong DJ you da man thanks
now the bt keeps cutting out
Bluetooth uses lots of power on your computer delete and reinstall drivers , reboot. As for ez b its very sensitive to having weak AA batteries , try running it from a power supply for testing or use a better lead acid or other high performance rechargable battery. If the battery being used can't support current demands it Browns out a split second and Bluetooth module drops the connection.
thanks for your time mate i put new batterys in still haveing troble connecting gonna try a new bt dongle mine is a 2.0. maybe that will help as for power supply what voltage and amperage is safe i won't give up yet
hi got the power sorted but still only finding one comm port (comm 7 ) tried updating from the installed EZ-B Firmware V8.5 to newest but still not updating mad

Hi, I am also a newbie and I think I'm having exactly the same problem - only getting the option to connect to one com port (com 41 in my case) then firmware udater will connect to board and download latest firmware, but will not transfer to board - just hangs...I also can't get the board to connect to e z builder on the chosen com...any ideas anyone please?
like DJ says use windows bt sofware uninstall software that came with bt dongle, then use add bt device wizard it's how i got two ports for ez b then connect with lower com port saying that i'm still having a hard time trying to get connected stress
Have you tried connecting on both ports, or just the one?
bborastero you are a complete star While I was using the windows BT to make the conection, I still had the bundled (toshiba bluestack) software on the machine - once I uninstalled it as you suggested all came right - thank you so much! I don't know if I can help you at all with your connection issues in return, but i have found the connection using the bluetooth dongle I bought from E Z robots givea a strong signal all the time, while my onbaord dell BT seems much more variable...might be worth a few dollars as a try if you are struggling?
