Battery Little Puff Up- Can'T Charge

One of my EzRobot battery is dead, can't charge

Do I just throw it away in the trash?

What other battery can be used?

Chuck it or see if there’s a battery recycle place is the best

to replace it either get one from ezrobot or you can buy one from Amazon. Any 7.4v lipo on Amazon will work

ok 7.4 25c 1300mAh thank you

Your local reclycling center should collect them.  You can also drop them at best Buy or several hardware stores.  Best not to just throw away.  Lithium isn't as bad as the old NiCad batteries, but it isn't great for the environment, and it can be recycled into new batteries for a lot less cost than mining it.

@EzAng I guess it depends on where you'll be installing the new battery, if it's back in an EZ-Robot I would recommend you purchase a new battery from us as the form factor will be the correct size (not all 7.4V 1300mAh batteries are the same). Batteries that fit are hard to come by. Otherwise, if it's for a DIY solution that doesn't need to fit in an EZ-Robot plastic shell you could get just about anything 7.4V and even increase the capacity if you'd like.

I wanted to but the EzRobot but shipping was 25.00 to US more than the battery

DJ made it sound like no problem getting a battery from Amazon - I already ordered a few

Hello @EzAng, that makes sense. I guess you would need to order more than just the battery to make it worth it.

Yes, batteries on Amazon are prevalent but there's no guarantee on if they will fit inside an EZ-Robot. We'll have to wait and see;)

Just make sure you do dispose of the battery. When they puff up they can easily be punctured and if the battery gets punctured it will burst into flames.  If it is stored with other batteries they will also burst into flames. This is an extremely hot fire and the fumes are noxious.

Ya for sure dangerous my first Lipo was 11.1 volts and wrong charger made it explode like a bomb, fire in every direction and then it launched like a missile into the wall...carpet fires and battery took an hour to put out as water does not work it needs containment with no air, hard to do while your carpet burns. Not a pretty sight,LOL! Always use a Lipo balance charger,a good one with computer display. As for going E car, look at all the chevy volts that explode in driveway, not for me,sorry New world order!
