My Dog

This is my Dog(Droid On Guard) It is my attempt to ward off boredom and Alzheimer (My father has Alzheimer) by I hope to stave it off by keeping my mind active. I started the project when I was diagnosed with kidney cancer in Dec of 2012 ( I was lucky that it was caught in the early stage and have had half of my left kidney removed). I am doing well and have no evidence of Disease. I am showing this so that others can see and maybe give some help with my robot as it progresses. I am a CB so i have to come up with ways to keep cost down.

It is build on a Dagu 4WD chassis. I have to say thanks to everyone who has helped so far.

It is controlled by 2 esc from r2 hobbies The big hurdle was to to bind the esc to the ez-b. I use this script. servo(d0, 1) servo(d4, 1) sleep(500) servo(d0, 50) servo(d4, 50) sleep(500) servo(d0, 100) servo(d4, 100)

I have ruined my ez-b board (short or surge somewhere) so not all ports work properly now.

The neck is made from the gripper arm that came from the Dagu 4Wd

I mounted the Sterilite 5 gal container($2.00) to the base by sandwiching it between the base plate and the standoffs. This gives me some rigidity and lots of room inside.

Something to possibly resolve the non-working ports is to remove power from your EZ-B then carefully remove the bluetooth unit and then pry loose the IC from the circuit board and then replace it as well as your bluetooth, then test your duff ports.

For future add-ons to your Dog, you might consider some bump sensors or sonar or IR type sensors or go wild and add all of them, lol.:)

@Robot-Doc thanks I will Try reseating the chip, I want to put on the US ping sensor on but it does not work now. I may have to wait until I can get a ez-b v4 board. I will try the reset tonight when I get home from work. I hope to get a video done soon.

Ears that can go up, and down, and turn would give him a lot more expression and personality.
