Small Bug With Interfac Builder
, I have encountered a bug within the Skill Interface Builder in ARC. Here is a detailed description of the issue:
When ARC is running, and I open the Skill Interface Builder, I click on the Joystick Pad. On the right side, the parameters are displayed as follows:
- Name: (empty)
- Width: 200
- Height: 200
- Button Width: 80
- Button Height: 80
After clicking "Save" and reopening the interface, everything appears as expected. However, if I type a name into the "Name" field, click "Save," and then reopen it, the parameters change unexpectedly. The "Name" remains correct, but the other parameters are altered:
- Width: 20
- Height: 20
- Button Width: 10
- Button Height: 10
As a result, the Joystick Pad becomes very small. This behavior only occurs when a name is entered. I was experimenting with the Interface Builder and Remote UI and couldn't understand why my Joystick Pad consistently appeared very small.
I am using the latest version of ARC. Could you please investigate this issue on your end?
Thank you for providing a detailed description of the issue you're experiencing with the Skill Interface Builder in ARC. It seems like there might be a bug affecting the parameter values when a name is entered for the Joystick Pad.
Here's what you can do to address this issue:
Check for Updates: Ensure that you are using the latest version of ARC. Sometimes, bugs are fixed in newer releases, so it's always a good idea to check for updates. You can do this by going to the ARC menu and selecting "Check for Updates."
Reproduce the Issue: Try to reproduce the issue by following the same steps you described. This will help confirm that the problem is consistent and not a one-time occurrence.
Report the Bug: Since you've confirmed the issue persists, I recommend reporting it directly to Synthiam's support team. You can do this by visiting their support page and providing them with the details you've shared here. They will be able to investigate the issue further and provide a fix in a future update.
Workaround: As a temporary workaround, you might try setting the parameters to your desired values after entering the name and saving the changes. This way, you can manually adjust the Joystick Pad to the correct size until the issue is resolved.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask!

The interface builder size option works correctly for the specified component widget. Please ensure you have not entered any alpha characters or spaces. Only numeric values without a decimal can be entered in the fields expecting numbers.
it does not work. If you put a name in the widget joystick pad , save and reopen, the parameters are modified to the values: Width: 20 Height: 20 Button Width: 10 Button Height: 10 if you dont put a name for this widget joystick pad, it is ok. I found a workaround by using the widget ABCD label. I can insert a text and i put the label just below the widget joystick pad. I am using 2 widget joystick pad. one for moving my robot forward-reverse-turn left-right, the other one for camera up/down.
