Thermal Printer
Can an EZ b control (directly or indirectly) a small thermal printer?
I see they can be hooked up to an arduino.

Yup, it uses the Serial TTL output
I had a quick scan over the web page and I think it uses serial, so the sendserial command would work (I think, like I said, I had a quick scan over I'll have a better read when I have more time).
