Hello DJ,
I noticed that there appears to have been support for GPS in previous versions of ARC but I don't see the control in the current version of EX-Builder.
I have read some interesting threads about the Iphone data streamer app. Is there such a thing for the Android Phones?
Will GPS be supported again in ARC?
Thanks Much, Rick B.
No - gps was a waste of time. The resolution of gps is a few meters on a code day, and can't be used inside. Any gps support would be a 3rd party plugin if someone wanted to make one.
EZ-Robot actually spent the last 4 months investigating different gps modules that would attach to the robot as an ezbit. James spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find a module that had acceptable resolution. The challenge of course is that the resolution is a few meters, or sometimes 10 meters... it varies, specifically in the city. Indoors it doesn't work at all.
Attaching the gps to a robot was a frustrating experience.
Thanks much DJ ! That is what I was thinking too. Thanks for the FAST response ! Rick B.
