this guy made a robotic trash can and set up Kinect to tell the robot where the flying garbage is. go to the link and watch the vid.

That's sweet. I've toyed with the idea of a robot waste bin for my living room as I tend to just pile up empty wrappers next to me and throw them out once in awhile (I'm lazy), but automatically moving wasn't part of the plan... it is now :)
