Rev Jd

Hi all I have gone through the tutorials and got my JD robot to work on the mobile app and through the ARC program. What I would like to know and if anyone can help or point me in the right direction for this is if i can put the controls and be able to operate it onto my own website? is this possible?

Thank you

I'm curious, why would you want to add the controls to a website other than using the software on its own or using the mobile app? I'm just wondering about what your thinking is and what you plans are for this kind of setup. If it's a case of being able to control your robot remotely, you could use a VCN Remote Desktop app for PC or mobile.

I'm personally don't know how to imbed ARC controls to a website, but the VCN idea is just a thought that may help. You might be able to use HTTP server or the Windows SDK, but I can't really give any advice on that as I've never used the SDK, or know how.

My Tafe bought 4 of the REV-JD robots for the IT department. I'm currently in my final stages of my Web developer studies and as a new research technology trying to find out if or how I could implement the controls onto my own website. I have been playing around with the app and custom http server and and was able to customize it how i wanted and that is pretty much what I wanted to do and the next step is to find out if I could move that onto my own website and if it is possible or not

Okay I get it now. Thanks for explaining. There's not much else I can offer on this I'm affraid. Other than the SDK idea, I don't know if Universal Bot would be of any help to you as again, this is something I'm not really familiar with at the moment although it seems more geared towards cross device apps more than websites. Maybe someone else might jump in and offer some advice on what you are looking to archive.

Sorry I can't be any more help, and I wish you luck with the Web development studies.

Use HTTP Server or HTTP Server (custom) on a desktop PC version of ARC. It'll be limited to the local network but with some clever port forwarding and programming it's possible to access this from external networks.
