i see only one change unless i missed something, new board uses LDO regulator witch is very good
most of my designs i use LDO and at work
be great on the next version to use 2 MA led instead of 20 ma led, save some battery life
MIC29300 drop on I/O of only 0.3V instead of 2.0V easy upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 for roughly less than $5 guessing the 3pin-220 package. Can you say upgrade for 1.7V. As for the LED everyone loves lights lol.
that good current saying ,because can get the battery down to a low voltage,we use them alot in battery operated instruments we sell as using low current leds
when you have items running on batteries ,always the best practice to use low current devices like LDO and low current leds ,color stays the same as the brightness, allso when the led is inside a robot you cant see the light, like most designs, its mostly just tells if power is on the board,so can remove it also,it says battery power unless you like charging the robot alot
i get the LDO MUCH CHEAPER
https://synthiam.com/Manual
it shows the same thing ,dont see any changes or where it says about changes made
