its an usb cable to pc to load the batterie.
hold two sec the camera goes on hold 5 sec camera goes off
red lid up is charging blue is reddy
Looks like the plug of a usb cable had broken off in the camera. Remove the plug and use a new usb cable. It uses a standard mini usb cable, which can be found at any electronic store, most drug marts, and even Walmart. Might even match your phone, if it's an android.

Your photo looks like the cable broke off i the jack. Should be a Mini USB. Charges on 5v if the battery is still good. There are instructions somewhere in the forums here for hard wiring it.
