New 3D Printer

Hey guys, I saw a brand new project on Indiegogo, they are pre-selling DLP 3D printers for 499 dollars! Here is the project address:

Upgrade to ARC Pro

Unleash your robot's full potential with the cutting-edge features and intuitive programming offered by Synthiam ARC Pro.

That is pretty impressive for the price.

I love new products but if you remember any advice I give is to wait until a experimental product like that is out for a couple years so they have time to work the bugs out. Also you will have reviews by that time by people who have the patience and extra money to blow playing with new gadgets. I watched solidoodle 2 years before I considered buying one for this reason. This really applies to every new electronics. Of course, Ez Robot has been around long enough to trust :)

Seems kind of strange that they are only trying to raise $500 US?

The Peachy printer is only $100. Same method, Stereolithography. But its the real deal. This project hardly speak to the method and hardware specs. I would be weary. Check out the Peachy Printer info they provide online, its extremely detailed. A good sign its real and functioning. :D
