My son and I just purchased the JD Humanoid robot. We are following the tutorials for assembly. After connecting the left shoulder the motor does turn but the right one does not. We've double checked that it is connected to D2.
Is there anything else we can check or do we have a defective unit?
Thanks,
Can you turn it freely by hand?
Is the BLACK wire of the servo plug matching the BLACK side of the EZ-B when connecting?
I double checked the wiring and the black side was connected to black so that's not it.
I tried gently turning it by hand and it's very difficult to move. The left side moves freely but the right doesn't.
Sounds like you unfortunately have a bad shoulder servo. There's two options for warranty in this situation.
have the entire body torso replaced
have the servo replaced (which requires you to perform robot operation by using a philips screw driver)
Thank you, the warranty covered it and the new body works.
