Hi @Nomad,

I'm not sure how those eyes communicate but since it's 3 wire I'm assuming likely a serial protocol. The RGB control in ARC wouldn't work with these Eyes since it communicates with 4 wire I2C.

That being said, maybe some one out there has reverse-engineered the protocol for these eyes and you could possibly use an EZ-B digital port to control the eyes.

lets hope someone knows something.the gripper looks also great. to bad you cant by them separt.aldo there are a few on ebay, reasonble prized arround 50 dollar.its od you cant find any eyes, similar like this.

i got my tools to open the eyes,and what do you know.there are two 8x8 ada fruit in there.but no 4 wire connection.

Those are definitely serial (uart) and would be easy to control by the ezb. The only thing you’d need is the communication protocol.

This might be a weird non standard serial comm. I looked at this dudes arduino library and he’s not using a standard serial library. I’m guessing it’s some weird custom thing. You could get a small cheap arduino and use his library to act as a middle man between the ezb and Meccano devices.

hope that ez 8x8 soon come in then.cut it out and replace with ez 8x8. i cant hardly wait to see the effect.i have plenty of room for lotiny's and, batts in the head.
