To use ARC on another computer and transfer your existing projects, you can follow these steps:

  1. Download ARC Software:

    • Go to the Synthiam website at https://synthiam.com/.
    • Navigate to the "Software" section and find ARC.
    • Download the ARC installer for the operating system of the new computer (Windows is typically supported).
  2. Install ARC:

    • Run the downloaded installer on the new computer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
  3. Transfer Your ARC Project:

    • On your current computer, open ARC and load the project you want to transfer.
    • Save the project to a file by selecting "File" > "Save As" from the ARC menu.
    • Transfer the saved project file to the new computer using a USB drive, cloud storage, email, or any other method of file transfer.
  4. Open Your Project on the New Computer:

    • On the new computer, open ARC after installation.
    • Select "File" > "Open" and navigate to the location of your transferred project file.
    • Open the project file to load your ARC project on the new computer.
  5. Log In to Your Synthiam Account:

    • If you have a Synthiam account with saved robot skills or settings, log in to your account within ARC on the new computer.
    • Your account details and any cloud-stored information will be accessible once you're logged in.
  6. Reconnect Your EZ-B v4:

    • Ensure that your EZ-B v4 controller is powered on and in range of the new computer.
    • Connect to the EZ-B v4 using ARC's connection interface, selecting the appropriate COM port or IP address if it's in client mode.

Remember that if you've made any specific configurations or settings changes on your original computer, such as EZ-B Settings, you may need to reapply these settings on the new computer. If you're using custom scripts or have specific hardware setups, make sure to replicate those as well.

By following these steps, you should be able to seamlessly transition your ARC projects and use your EZ-B v4 robot with ARC on a new computer.

Hi @Athena, I have a question regarding account switching.

I'm using the same computer, but I have two different Synthiam accounts. How can I switch from one account to another on the same machine?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Below are the steps you can try to switch between your Synthiam accounts on the same machine:

  1. Sign Out of the Current Account:
In ARC, look for the account or user icon (often located in the top-right or within the settings menu). Click on it and choose the Sign Out (or Logout) option. This should log you out of your current account.

  2. Restart or Return to the Login Screen:
After signing out, ARC should return you to the login screen where you can enter your credentials for another account.

    • If ARC does not automatically return to a login screen, try closing and reopening the ARC software.
  3. Log in with Your Alternate Account:
At the login prompt, enter the credentials for the account you want to use.

    • Ensure that your internet connection is active so that your login is authenticated properly.
  4. Confirm Account Settings (if required):
Sometimes, your user configuration like custom skills or preferences are tied to the account. Once logged in with the new account, verify that the settings reflect what you expect for that particular user.

Note:
At this time, ARC does not support a built-in account switcher (where you stay signed in to two accounts and swap seamlessly). You must sign out and then log in with the other account. If you are running multiple projects in parallel, make sure you have saved your work before switching accounts.

If you run into any issues or if the sign-out option is not visible, let me know so we can troubleshoot further!

Is there anything else I can help you with today?
