Hi, my high school is going to buy a JD robot and was going to see if it could be beneficial to the Robotics Program. I am a Teachers Assistant in the Robotics class and would really love to see this class be great in the future. Sadly I am worried that if interest falls and this JD Robot isn't seen as beneficial to the Program, the class might be scraped. I was wondering if you guys had any ideas. Perhaps more on the flashy side. Maybe since I am brand new, something on the easier side? If there isn't both, I am more willing to learn the harder stuff. Thank you.

Absolutely, JD will be a great addition to your program! Have you taken a look at The Robot Program episodes? We host a webseries that shows how to get the robot up and running, as well as build skills in more intermediate and advanced activities. Students can start with linear programming in RoboScratch and then advance to logical programming with Blockly. We also have Challenge episodes that challenge students to take on a particular task or activity: https://synthiam.com/challenge
All of the available episodes are embedded in our online JD tutorials: https://synthiam.com/Tutorials/Lesson/53?courseId=1
One of my favourite activities is getting JD to wave when he recognizes a face. This is a great example of starting with graphical programming while using more complicated technologies like machine learning. This will help high school students gain confidence in coding and robotics before moving on to postsecondary.
We're always filming new episodes, so keep watching for more lessons and activities to come!
