Ezb Connect In Ap Mode Only V0.4A

Good Day,

Strange behavior on EZB.

Connect to ARC in Apmode but gear icon missing.

Client mode green led just flashing.

If it connects in client mode to ARC gear icon also missing

My new EZB just received connect instantly on ARC.

Is there not a firmware upgrade I can use the flash the V0.4a unit ?

Can it be flash with the flash util via wifi on do you need cable to flash new firmware.

Thank you kindly

I don't think you can upgrade a com 1 ezb4... I checked the upgrade utility and it states it is for the ezb4 x/2 (com 2)... You can however buy this Com 2 upgrade

Could I get hold of the firmware just to reflash the ezbv4 com1.

May just a temporary fix , can it be flashed with the utility in the ARC install.

I cannot find firmware files anywhere.

The connection problem is driving me crazy.

Can the com1 board still be used or will I be forced to buy a ezbv4 com2 board.

You can flash the latest ex-B v/1 firmware with a Pikit tool and the instructions here; http://synthiam.com/Products/ARCopen-wifi.aspx Either official eZ_B firmware, or custom firmware created by PTP. However, it does not provide all of the functionality of the hardware upgrade Richard mentioned, and I doubt it will solve your problem if you are unable to connect to the EZ_B (It has been a while since I flashed one, but I don't believe it adds the broadcast function, so you still need to either know the IP address or search for the eZ-B. Of course, in AP mode, you know that the IP will be 192.68.1.1 so you don't need to search for it).

Unless you already have a Pikit programmer, much more worth it to just buy the upgrade board. More functionality, and WiFi firmware updates in the future.

My custom firmware broadcast the EZB's IP.

I agree 100% with the last statement:
