I have been impressed by a lot that is offered by the EZ-Robot family, but I am concerned with a few design choices that leave the robots vulnerable to exploits. An example is allowing advanced robots like JD to be controlled through telnet.
I reached out long time ago to the EZ-Robot team through email, they received my note, but never got back to me. This is another effort to bring this issue to the forefront. Are there any plans to fix these gaps in security?
@Depe: Everyone opinion is different.
We need to adjust the expectations, JD robot is not a final consumer product, is an educational kit / toy based on different building blocks: a wireless controller, servos and sensors.
The logic control block is the ARC (Mobile/Desktop Application).
I'm short on time... security, hacking are very interesting subjects. I would love to help or discuss your research findings.
If you please drop me an email (my email is in my profile). Thanks
