The black plastic around the lens of my EZB motion tracing camera is an eyesore on my white robot. Also, it is only 640x480. I assume a resolution upgrade will result in a new camera version. A black lens in a white shell looks terrible on my robot, well basically all robots. Black on white is a very specific design choice. If its a white shell, keep the lens white.
Also, is there a way to run the camera on wires away from it's circuitry? I can't fit it into things with the big circuit board in the way (I removed the plastic case already).
No, to both - maybe you can be careful and paint the lense.
