Can the ezb be controlled independently via a mobile device at a remote location without having the pc running the software in the same place? Also can a robot be controlled using gps and a gui interface such as for instance google maps?
The EZ-B needs a host PC in every case. However that host PC can be remotely controlled via HTTP server or Telnet.
You can use GPS sensors however there is no control for google maps integration in ARC. Such a function would require the SDK.
Ok I am new to all of this so little help needed. First if I was to make a small 12vdc powered pc based on either FIT-PC or mini-itx then I could virtually use the system anywhere if I built this into the robot. Next quest what id SDK?
Yes you could. Check the showcase, a few have onboard PCs.
The SDK is for C# or VB extensions so you can write your own application to control the EZ-B. Few use it since ARC is very powerful.
not hot on programming so might need a boffin to help out on that one but in theory it is very do able then?
@pfileman , mini itx is the best way to go. They are cheap under 100 dollars or less on eBay and then you have a all in one unit.
