Makes you wonder how many people freaked out and called in a UFO sighting. Although it was cool.
That's really awesome - well done video too.
It worked out well because they'd only be able to do that at night. In order to do the formation, they need IR transmit beacons on each drone. Then a high framerate camera on the ground points up at the sky. It now knows the position of each drone by watching the beacons. You couldn't do that during the day.
