Harbor Freight offers an automotive Jump pack. It will be going on sale Labor Day with a coupon for $39.99. the battery is a 12 volt 17 ah lead acid gel cell. I have found this to be a great price when you consider it includes a charger, a condition monitor, and a low current 5 volt supply.
When building larger projects this battery works well. The price is equivalent to battery only prices on eBay. My plan is to use one for Anonn and the next generation robot which will move through the house.
Just an FYI for a larger application users of Ez Robot controls and biger motors and servos.
Thanks for the tip. Do you have a link? Can't seem to find the one you speak of or maybe not available to Canada.
It must be this one: https://www.harborfreight.com/3-in-1-portable-power-pack-with-jump-starter-62306.html
I can't find the labor day sale for my local stores, my guess is it's with the coupon at the store only.
Is the lithium battery packs out of the running for the same use because of cost and less amp hours? Even though they weigh less?
Thanks Justin, that's the one. I received a paper coupon from the store dated for Labor Day weekend which showed the lower price.
@3D I don't know about Canada, but I assume if you check at a store or online, a sale price should be offered in Canada too.
Cost is the main issue. I am also building an electric bike with a sidecar for the wife and me. I will be needing 4. The sale gives me all the chargers, monitors and batteries for just the battery cost on eBay. The 17 ah capacity means a lot too.
Antonn gets one too. (With the sale savings his ends up free)
